How to Take a Screenshot in Windows
ScreenshotX is an application software download free Windows that lets you take screenshots in the best quality. It supports the most popular screen capture formats including PNG and JPG. It also includes many interesting features, like the ability to edit screenshots, record videos and add comments.
Taking screenshots is important for demonstrating how to do something in an online tutorial, showing errors or software issues for technical support, and sharing screen images with friends on social media. Luckily, there are several methods you can use to take a screenshot in Windows, and some of them are quite simple.
#1) Keep the image/screen which needs to be captured open and press the PrtScn key (usually found on the top right of your keyboard). The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard and you can then paste it into an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint or Picasa, to save it as a file.
#2) For a more customizable and annotable approach to screen captures, you can use the Snip & Sketch tool that was introduced with Windows 10 in July 2017. It's easier to access than the old Snipping Tool and allows you to delay snipping for three or ten seconds while you prepare your workspace.
#3) Scribe is a popular tool for creating step-by-step instructions or guides using marked-up screenshots and written instructions. It's compatible with both Windows and Mac and offers a free Chrome extension.
You can also create an offline guide on a USB thumb drive and store it in your Photos app for easy sharing later. It's a great solution for anyone with a slow connection and wants to show off how they're doing on their computer.
